Draxtor Despres Machinima Video Report: Obama Team Uses Second Life To Highlight Trip To Ghana

President Barack Obama’s recent visit to Ghana was his first public appearance in official capacity and it was also the most tweeted, Facebooked and SMSed event since he was sworn in as President.
For the first time, virtual worlds and the Metaverse were also integrated: Second Life and Metaplace hosted connected viewing parties and a panel discussion. Is this the start of a continuous effort by the White House to use virtual worlds as an added layer to their media strategy?
