Well slap me on the head with a dead fish and call me Shirley! I have zero idea why I injected a gender change on Lehdonvirta, and to my shame, I believe this is the first article I've written where I've erroneously ascribed he wrong sex to someone!

I will be consulting my psychoanalyst on this one, who will probably drag out enough material to publish a case history. Doubtless the fact that "Vili" and "Willy" are both male names, which I then totally repressed and flipped the gender makes me think that it's only a short step to Castration Anxiety.

Now the problem remains as to whether I should ask the Editor to change the article - which would then nullify your comment and could be interpreted as "revisionism" - or to leave it as-is and let it stand as a cautionary tale.

Thanks for pointing out my spectacular gender-bending mistake. Henceforth I shall keep a sharp eye on my Vili.

Nice story, but it slightly perturbs me that you choose to refer to Lehdonvirta as "she". Based on the photo on his website (the url is in your story), Lehdonvirta seems to be not a lass but a strapping lad!
